Hi Friends,
Happy Veterans Day, and to those that have served, THANK YOU.
I hope everyone is enjoying all the colors and flavors autumn brings. Lianna and I seem to be having a little more pot roast and Italian cuisine lately, with some pumpkin spice flavors around the coffee pot. Also, to our friends who celebrated Diwali last week, I hope you had a fun and festive few days.
In real estate news, we are seeing the normal seasonal slowdown, though this year's transactions are down another 7.6 percent from a year ago. Some experts believe this may be from buyers getting mixed
messages from their employers on where they will be working. Other industry leaders feel it's the slight increase in interest rates and supply chain issues we've seen recently. With that said, most believe our local housing inventory could remain limited until spring of 2022.
In other news, the Sounders start their playoff run, Seattle will have a new mayor, and Covid numbers are going down in King and Snohomish County. There's some other good news as we start to think about Turkey Day and the Holiday season, and that is most of the region has opened up for business. You still may want to get your shopping done a little earlier this year to help with any of those supply chain issues.
That's it for now. Thanks for reading.
Hope you and your family have lots to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
Cheers!
